Cakesbythelb is a Black-owned cottage bakery proudly serving Metro Detroit with rich, made-from-scratch pound cakes, a variety of homemade baked goods, and handcrafted chocolate-dipped treats by CocoDipped, a subsidiary of Cakesbythelb, LLC. Every item is thoughtfully prepared to satisfy your sweet tooth—with style and intention.
I’m Monique—most people call me Mo. I’m a self-taught Executive Pastry Chef and recent PhD graduate with a passion for creating high-quality desserts from my home-based kitchen. In addition to baking, I also work as a dissertation consultant, helping others reach their academic goals.
Since February 15, 2015, Cakesbythelb, LLC has built a reputation for moist, flavorful pound cakes—but our offerings don’t stop there. From bakery-style cookies and cupcakes to gourmet dipped strawberries and chocolate-covered treats by CocoDipped, every order is made fresh using premium ingredients and prepared with care.
