Dr. Mo

Executive Pastry Chef & Founder

Dr. Mo is a self-taught pastry chef and entrepreneur with a PhD in Health Services, bringing a unique combination of creativity, discipline, and attention to detail to the Cakesbythelb™ brand.

Her approach to baking is rooted in precision, consistency, quality ingredients, and a commitment to creating desserts that are as memorable as they are delicious.

In addition to leading Cakesbythelb™ Dessert Co., Dr. Mo serves as a dissertation consultant, guiding doctoral scholars through the final stages of their academic journeys with the same structure, care, and intention that define her work in the kitchen.

Cakesbythelb creates scratch-made desserts using premium ingredients and thoughtful techniques. Our menu includes rich pound cakes, bakery-style cookies, cupcakes, curated dessert boxes, and handcrafted chocolate-dipped treats. Favorites include cream cheese pound cakes, lemon pound cakes, hand-dipped strawberries, and assorted dessert mixes that are perfect for celebrations.

We design desserts for birthdays, bridal showers, retirement gatherings, corporate events, and other special occasions. Flavor options include classic and signature choices such as chocolate, strawberry, German chocolate, coconut, white chocolate caramel, carrot cake, pineapple, and more. All items are made to order with limited customization to ensure quality and consistency. 

Starting prices help you plan: pound cakes begin around $37–$52, cookies are available from about $37–$52 per batch, and cupcakes, dessert boxes, and hand-dipped treats typically start around $65, with final pricing determined by size, flavors chosen, and design details. 

Orders range from personal treats to large party selections. We also offer corporate gifting and creative dessert bundles designed for events. Cakesbythelb works with you to bring your dessert vision to life with care and consistency.
