Sure! However, I only recommend picking up smaller items/orders such as cupcakes, cookies and some treats.
Transporting cakes in any fashion can be a challenge for various reasons that a simple Google search can explain. You’d be okay with a Bento Box style cake but anything stacked over two layers high should be delivered by me to ensure it arrives at your location in one piece… literally.
Can I provide my own cupcake liners?
No. Due to the ingredients I use in my cake recipes, the cupcakes come out way more moist and fluffy than a standard box cake mix would produce. I use special ordered liners to prevent the cupcakes from sticking to the sides.
What are your preferred payment methods?
Venmo (@lebelletorte) or Zelle, which is my phone number that is provided on your invoice.
How do I cut my layered cake?
Each cake order will come with detailed instructions on how to cut and serve the cake to your guests. Keep in mind, you can make the slices as large as you would personally like but we base our “servings” off of this method of cutting cakes.
How will I know what size cake to order?
Simply tell me how many people have RSVP’d or are planning to attend your party and I’ll make a recommendation for a size.
What is your address? I can’t find it on your website.
Since we are a home based cottage bakery and do not have a commercial brick and mortar store, our address is not publicly displayed on our website. However, once you place an order and receive your invoice, our address in West Melbourne will be printed on there. If you would feel more comfortable meeting in a public place, we can absolutely arrange that as well!
Custom Cake Topper Care Instructions
Custom toppers and decorations are made out of a combination of fondant and gum paste. If you would like to keep them as a memento, you can! Even though they are made of sugar, bugs are surprisingly not attracted to them and they keep well if taken care of properly.
Follow these steps if you want to keep your topper.
🌞 Direct Sunlight 🌞
Keep it out of direct sunlight. Over time, sunlight will cause the colors to fade. You should keep it in a cool, dark and dry place. (i.e, a China or display cabinet in a room with minimal sunlight)
✋🏼 Handling ✋🏼
Handle them with extreme care! Fondant and gum paste both become fragile when they dry and may shatter, crack, or fall apart if they are mishandled.
Gum paste roses in particular are extremely fragile due to the petals having to be rolled and pressed thin; they also completely harden. Dropping one would likely shatter it into pieces similar to dropping a glass onto the floor.
💧 Moisture 💧
Keep away from high moisture/high humidity areas. Do not store them in a refrigerated space, or outside. What happens is, moisture causes fondant/gum paste to sweat and that dew causes the sugar inside the fondant to dissolve.
✨ Storage ✨
If left out to sit on a shelf, over time, your topper will get dirty. You can't wipe it down with a wet towel because the water could stain/put large dark spots on the fondant. If you want to preserve it for a little bit longer, you can keep it inside of a glass or acrylic container to keep all of the dust and moisture out. Just make sure that container is in a cool area.
