🥖 About Risen Artisan Sourdough
Sharing the love of Jesus, one loaf at a time. 💛
Welcome to Risen Artisan Sourdough, a small-batch cottage bakery in Middleton, Idaho, where every loaf, roll, and treat is baked with love, purpose, and prayer. What began as a simple passion for baking has risen into a heartfelt mission — to share warmth, community, and the goodness of God through the gift of bread.
⸻
🌾 Meet the Baker
Hi! I’m Holly — the hands (and heart) behind Risen Artisan Sourdough. 💛
When I baked my first loaf of sourdough, I fell completely in love — not just with the bread, but with the process itself. There’s something sacred about it: the rhythm of mixing, waiting, shaping, and rising. It grounds me, quiets my thoughts, and draws me closer to God.
Sourdough became a kind of peace for me…a way to slow down, breathe, and remember what truly matters. It connects me to my ancestors and to a simpler time when life revolved around love, faith, and the nourishment we shared around the table. It gives me space for gratitude, reflection, and a deeply personal way to worship God. I pray blessings over each batch, asking Him to fill the dough with His love, goodness, forgiveness, and joy.
What began as baking for my family has grown into a small cottage bakery here in the farming community of Middleton, Idaho — surrounded by wide-open skies, golden fields, and the kind of beauty that makes you pause and give thanks to the Lord for His creation. With just flour, water, and salt, I get to create bread that feeds both body and soul — and I feel so blessed to see God’s hand in every step of this journey. All glory to Him!
My husband and I are beyond grateful for the support, encouragement, and love that has helped this dream — and His purpose for me — rise. My hope and prayer is to keep learning, sharing what I’ve learned with others , and spreading the love of Jesus, one beautiful loaf at a time. 🥖✨
Thank you for being part of my Sourdough Era.
Many blessings to you and yours,
— Holly @ Risen Artisan Sourdough

🌿 Naturally Fermented Each loaf begins with a live, wild yeast starter — a living culture that gives every bake its unique flavor and character. 🍃 Long Fermentation = Gut Friendly A slow, two-day fermentation makes my sourdough easier to digest, richer in nutrients, and full of depth and flavor. 🚫 No Preservatives, No Chemicals Just pure, wholesome dough made from flour, water, and salt. (It means a shorter shelf life — but it’s so worth it! 🍞) 🌟 Quality Ingredients Every mix-in — from cheeses and herbs to fruits and spices — is thoughtfully and responsibly sourced for the best flavor and freshness. ⏳ The Risen Rhythm 1️⃣ Starter Growth Day 2️⃣ Dough Day 3️⃣ Baking Day
Welcome to the heart of Risen Artisan Sourdough — where every loaf is handmade with love, patience, and wild yeast magic. 💛 ⸻ 🍞 What Makes It Special • Each loaf is true artisan sourdough, made fresh in small batches — no preservatives or commercial yeast. • Baked with King Arthur Sir Lancelot flour (14.2% protein), a high-gluten flour that gives that signature chewy texture. • Made with a live, wild, fermented yeast starter — not store-bought yeast! It’s full of good bacteria, higher in protein, easier on gluten sensitivity, and lower on the glycemic index. • Any add-ins (like cheese, jalapeños, herbs, etc.) are quality-sourced from trusted grocers and local Farmer’s Markets. ⸻ ⚠️ Allergy Note I don’t use peanuts or shellfish in or around my bread, but those ingredients are sometimes used in my kitchen. If you have serious food allergies, please only enjoy products certified safe for you. ⸻ 🧺 Bread Care 101 If your loaf feels too moist: place it directly on your oven rack at 350°F for 20 minutes (no cover needed). To freeze: wrap in foil, then in a plastic bag. To reheat: mist lightly with water and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes — it’ll taste freshly baked again! ⸻ 🔪 How to Slice 1️⃣ Cut your loaf in half across the belly (widthwise). 2️⃣ For regular slices, place the cut side down and slice to your desired thickness. 3️⃣ For sandwich-style slices, cut lengthwise after halving. 4️⃣ Use a sharp serrated bread knife or electric knife — sourdough crusts mean business! ⸻ 🧡 Storage Tips • Best stored in a paper bag inside a breadbox. • Avoid refrigeration if possible — it can dry the loaf out. • Plastic bags soften the crust but keep flavor intact. • The bag your bread comes in works great and should last about 5–6 days at room temp. ✨ From my oven to your table — thank you for supporting small-batch, made-with-love sourdough. 💛🌾
💳 Payments Accepted: Card, Venmo, Zelle, or Cash 🥖 All baked goods are made with a sourdough starter and are not gluten-free. 🏡 Prepared in my home kitchen under Idaho’s Cottage Food Laws. 💰 Prices are listed individually for each item here on this site. ⸻ 💉 FOOD SENSITIVITY 🥜 Some items may contain common allergens such as cheese, nuts, and seasonings. 🍭 Many of my treats contain both refined and natural sugars. 📣 Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any food questions or concerns — I’m always happy to help! ⛑️ Please be mindful of your own dietary needs and consume at your own discretion. ⸻ ✨ Thank you for supporting small-batch, home-baked goodness — made with love right here in Middleton, Idaho! 🌾
