Cactus Sourdough Co. is a small-batch cottage bakery based in West Texas. We specialize in naturally leavened sourdough breads, cookies, bagels, cinnamon rolls, and other rustic goodies — all made with simple ingredients, slow fermentation, and a whole lot of love (and Texas grit).
📍 Where are you located?
We bake right out of our home kitchen in Greenwood/Midland Texas. You can find us at local markets around Midland and West Texas — like Parks Legado Farmers Market, The Tailgate, and 307 Farmers Market — or during special pop-up events!
📦 How does pickup/delivery work?
Pickups are at my home address. We’ll send details after checkout!
Deliveries can be made for a small fee: minimum order required is $20.
Midland Fee: $5, Stanton Fee: $5, Greenwood Fee: $2.50
I’m willing to meet Odessa customers at Costco
🗓️ When do you bake?
Bake days vary depending on market schedules and holidays. Check our Facebook and Instagram for announcements so you never miss one:

💫 What makes your sourdough special?
Every loaf is made with an active, bubbly starter — no commercial yeast! The natural fermentation gives that signature flavor, chewy texture, and golden crust while being easier to digest. It’s truly “real bread, the old-fashioned way.”
🧈 Do you use organic ingredients?
Whenever possible, yes! We use high-quality unbleached flours, organic sugars, local eggs, and other wholesome ingredients — nothing artificial or weird.
🚫 Are your baked goods gluten-free?
Not at this time. All items are made with wheat flour and baked in a home kitchen that handles gluten.
🕰️ How long does sourdough stay fresh?
Store your loaf at room temperature (wrapped in a towel or paper bag) for up to 2–3 days. For longer storage, slice and freeze — then toast straight from frozen for that fresh-baked taste!
🎉 Do you offer custom or bulk orders?
We do on occasion! For business baskets, events, or special requests, send us a message early — availability depends on the bake schedule.
🤝 Do you offer wholesale?
We’re slowly expanding into local wholesale partnerships. If you’re a café, shop, or restaurant interested in carrying our goods, we’d love to chat!
🌵 What is the “Cactus Club”?
Our loyalty program! Every $25 spent earns one cactus stamp. Collect 10 stamps and get a free baked good or Cactus Sourdough merch item. Just our way of saying thank you for supporting local.
🧾 Are you a licensed bakery?
Cactus Sourdough Co. operates under the Texas Cottage Food Law, meaning all items are baked in a home kitchen that is not inspected by the Department of State Health Services. We follow all labeling and safety requirements and have a Food Handlers Safety Certification.
❤️ Anything else I should know?
We’re a tiny operation fueled by community support, so every order, comment, and share means the world. Thank you for helping this little West Texas bakery grow — one loaf at a time. 🌵💛
