1. Is your sourdough bread gluten-free?
Unfortunately, no. My own house-cultured sourdough starter and bread recipe is made with King Arthur's Organic Unbleached Bread Flour. However, since sourdough goes through a long fermentation process that breaks down some of the gluten proteins, as well as certain carbohydrates in the flour, it makes the bread easier to digest for some people who are gluten-sensitive.
2. Do you have vegan or dairy-free options?
Yes, most of our products are made either vegan or dairy free.
3. How long will my sourdough bread stay fresh?
Loaves will be the freshest in the first 3-5 days when stored in a ziploc bag or airtight container on the counter but can last a week refrigerated. However, sourdough bread is perfect for toasting, and you can also freeze slices for longer storage. Just slice the loaf and place it in a freezer ziploc bag (my family does this all the time!)
Bagels will be the freshest the first two days when stored in a ziploc bag on the counter but can last a week if refrigerated. They also freeze really well so you can pop them in the freezer to enjoy for a later time!
4. How do pick-ups work?
There are specifc pickup timeslots on Saturdays and Sundays for porch pick up Davenport that can be selected when ordering.
For Orlando-based customers, please reach out to us via Instagram DM or email so we can arrange pick up prior to ordering.
After your order is confirmed, you will receive the address for pick up.
5. Do you have any seasonal flavors or limited-time products?
Yes! I love to get creative with seasonal ingredients and flavors! You'll find limited-time loaves, bagels and other baked goods during the holidays and at certain times of the year. Be sure to follow thebakerynook on social media to stay updated on the latest seasonal releases.
