How to keep your cupcakes looking (and tasting) perfect!
🚗 The Ride Home
• Level Ground: Just like a cake, cupcakes should be put on the floor of the car or in a flat trunk space. Never put them on a car seat, or they’ll slide into each other and ruin the frosting.
• Temperature Control: Keep your car cool! High heat can cause the liners to peel away from the cake or the frosting to "wilt."
🏠 Storage Tips
• Room Temp vs. Fridge: * Short Term: If you’re eating them today, keep them in their box in a cool, dry place.
• Long Term: If you're saving them for tomorrow, put them in the fridge. However, please place wrap the box in plastic wrap to prevent the fridge from drying out the sponge.
• The "Liner" Rule: Avoid humid environments (like a steamy kitchen).
Humidity is the #1 reason cupcake liners pull away from the cake.
✨ Serving Your Guests
• Timing: For the best flavor and texture, take the cupcakes out of the fridge 30–60 minutes before serving. Cold buttercream can feel hard and waxy; room-temperature buttercream is light and silky.
• Display: Keep them out of direct sunlight. Even a "cool" room can melt frosting if the sun is hitting the cupcakes directly through a window.
❄️ Can I freeze them?
• Yes! If you have leftovers, place them in an airtight container. They freeze beautifully for up to 2 months. Just thaw them at room temperature for a few hours when you're ready for a snack.
