How to transport, store, and serve your treats!
🚗 The Ride Home
• Flat Surfaces Only: Please keep your cake on the floor of your car (the passenger side floor is usually best). Car seats are slanted and can cause the cake to slide or lean.
• Stay Cool: Keep the AC on high. Buttercream is basically butter—it will melt in a warm car!
• Drive Like a Grandma: Take turns slowly and avoid sudden braking.
🏠 Storage & Temperature
• Keep it Chilled: Unless otherwise instructed, keep your cake in the fridge until about 1–2 hours before serving.
• The Sweet Spot: Cake is best enjoyed at room temperature. Letting it sit out for a bit allows the sponge to soften and the buttercream to become creamy again.
• Safe Display: Keep the cake out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources (like a fireplace or a hot kitchen stove).
🔪 Serving & Leftovers
• Clean Cuts: For the prettiest slices, use a large sharp knife dipped in hot water and wiped dry between every cut.
• Support System: If your cake has multiple tiers, it contains dowels/straws for support. Please remove these as you carve! Do not smash cake in individual face for safety reasons.
• Save for Later: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days, or wrapped tightly and frozen for up to 3 months.
