In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to create your own stunning vintage-style buttercream heart cake, complete with a delicious filling inside and all the romantic piping details that make these cakes so iconic.
You’ll start by learning how to properly handle and layer a pre-baked heart cake, including how to add filling for a beautiful, even slice. Then, I’ll guide you step-by-step through achieving a smooth buttercream finish and show you how to use professional piping tips to create classic vintage details.
By the end of class, you’ll know how to:
-Fill and stack a cake with a soft, even filling layer
-Apply and smooth buttercream for a clean base
-Pipe vintage borders, shells, ruffles, and swags
-Create dimension and movement using layered piping
-Add personalized details
-Design a balanced, aesthetically beautiful vintage cake
-Use piping bags and decorating tips
I’ll guide you step-by-step, so no experience is needed, just come ready to have fun.
By the end of the night, you’ll leave with a fully decorated vintage heart cake, new skills, and a cake you’ll be ridiculously proud of.
