What gets factored into the overall price of a custom cake order?
The biggest question I get asked a lot. Things that get factored in are ...
- Decorating time (hand-sculpting, piping, coating, etc.),
- Price for additional ingredients and time to make fillings (if applicable)
- Packaging
- Delivery fee
- Rush fee (if applicable, an order less than 3 weeks lead time)
- Additional supplies/tools (custom toppers, images, etc.)
All these things get factored in to fulfill your custom order request.
Do you do fondant covered cakes?
Simple answer is no. I, unfortunately, don't specialize in fondant covered cakes. I work with American Buttercream and do fondant details.

Lani Cakes 808 does outsource to other small businesses for any other special supplies needed to bring your dream cake to life. For example, a custom cake topper with specific images and name, I order those to be custom made.
