Hello friends,
Pre-orders for Friday, April 3 are now open to the end of Wednesday — I would love to bake for you then.
As always, thank you for supporting my little kitchen 💛
How long does it take to make your sourdough bread?
Each loaf is crafted slowly, over 35 hours.
We begin by feeding our natural sourdough starter, then allow the dough to ferment and rest overnight for full flavor development. Shaping, proofing, and baking take place the next day.
Nothing is rushed—because real bread takes time. 🌾💛
What ingredients do you use?
We use simple, organic, and carefully selected ingredients.
No preservatives, no fillers—only what’s needed for great flavor and texture:
Unbleached, organic flour, fresh mill flour (including ancient grains), sourced from trusted mills
Natural sourdough starter
Filtered water
Sea salt
Seasonal, organic additions: herbs, fruits, seeds, etc.
All of our cookies and sweets are made with pasture-raised eggs, real butter, and organic sugar (unless otherwise noted).🌾💛🍞🍪
How should I store your bread and cookies?
Bread:
Keep at room temperature, wrapped in a cloth or paper bag. Best within 3 days. To revive, toast slices or warm the whole loaf at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes. You can also slice and freeze.
Cookies:
Store in an airtight container at room temp for up to 4 days, or freeze for longer.
Where do you bake? Is Edie’s Oven a commercial bakery?
No, Edie’s Oven is a licensed home-based bakery operating under Texas Cottage Food Law.
That means we don’t use a commercial kitchen—but we bake with professional care and artisan methods.
How far in advance should I place my order?
We bake everything to order, in small batches.
Please place your order at least 48 hours in advance.
For larger or special orders (e.g. holidays), we recommend booking at least 1 week ahead.
Do you ship or deliver?
At this time, we do not ship.
We offer local pickup by arrangement and occasionally limited delivery within our area.
Follow us on Instagram for pop-ups or market days!
Are your products gluten-free or vegan?
Not yet! But we use certificate ingredients.
We offer gluten-friendly and vegan options made with certified ingredients.
However, all products are baked in the same home kitchen, so cross-contamination is possible.
We take great care, but we cannot guarantee allergen-free environments.
