These Zwieback literally carry my Grandma Wiens' markings. Did you know that when the Mennonite ladies of the church made their Zwieback they pushed the tops on using different finger configurations? This way they always knew whose were whose. Maybe a little friendly competition? My grandma taught me to make zwieback using her special three finger marking. I guess that means I must have measured up. Unlike some, these Zwieback are soft and melt in your mouth. They are great for Faspa (a light lunch with ham and cheese), for breakfast with butter and jelly, or even pair perfectly with a large supper or holiday spread.
