1. What makes your sourdough different from regular bread?**
Our sourdough is made using a natural fermentation process with wild yeast and bacteria, giving it a distinctive tangy flavor, chewy texture, and enhanced digestibility. We use high-quality ingredients and ensure freshness of all products.
2. How should I store my sourdough bread?**
To keep your sourdough fresh, store it in a paper bag or wrap it in a clean kitchen towel at room temperature. Avoid plastic bags, as they can cause the bread to become soggy. For longer storage, you can freeze the bread; just slice it first for easy thawing.
3. Do you offer gluten-free sourdough?**
Currently, we do not offer gluten-free sourdough. Our products are made with traditional wheat flour and may contain traces of other common allergens. We are exploring gluten-free options, so stay tuned for updates!
4. Can I place a custom order?**
Yes, we accept custom orders for special occasions, bulk orders, or specific flavors. Please contact me in advance, as soon as possible, to discuss your needs and availability.
5. How do I place an order, and what are your payment options?**
You can place an order through our Bakesy website or by private message on our Facebook page. We accept Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, and cash. Payment is due at the time of purchase or when your order is picked up for cash payers. Checks must be made payable to Casey Frederick.
6. What happens if I miss my pickup time?**
If you miss your pickup time, your items will be held for a short grace period. After that, they may be forfeited and made available for sale to other customers. Please let me know as soon as possible if you’re running late.
7. Can I cancel or change my order?**
Cancellations or changes can be made up to 24 hours before your scheduled pickup time. Please contact me directly to adjust your order. Orders canceled without sufficient notice may not be eligible for a refund.
8. Do you deliver?**
I currently offer pickup only. However, I do offer delivery to local businesses who place orders.
9. Are your products organic?**
I currently use home grown organic eggs and honey in my recipes.
10. Do you offer any vegan options?**
Yes, many of our sourdough breads are naturally vegan, made without dairy or eggs. Please check the product descriptions or ask for guidance on which items are vegan-friendly.
11. Can I buy a sourdough starter from you?**
I do not offer my starter for sale at this time.
