What started as a simple curiosity about sourdough quickly became a daily practice of patience, creativity, and love. For me, sourdough is more than bread, it’s a way of slowing down and sharing comfort with others. I source quality ingredients, nurture my starter like a member of the family, and bake in small batches to make sure every crust crackle and soft crumb feels special.
All About Sourdough
Sourdough bread offers benefits like easier digestibility, improved blood sugar control, and enhanced nutrient absorption due to its fermentation process, which produces probiotics, prebiotics, and breaks down anti-nutrients. This process also reduces gluten levels, making it potentially tolerable for some with mild gluten sensitivities, though not safe for those with celiac disease. All of my items, from bread to cookies, and everything in between, are long fermented.
Weekly Flavors
Inclusion loaves and cookie flavors vary by week. If you need dates outside of the one’s showing available, please send me a request and I will try to accommodate. Current cookie flavors: 🍇 Oatmeal raisin 🍪 Brown butter chocolate chip (Subject to change based on availability)
The Little Details
Bread pick up is on Sundays after 11am. All other items are made to order. Order Deadlines - All orders must be placed by Friday for a Sunday pick up. - Holiday pre-orders will have their own deadlines. Payment - A 50% deposit is required 3 days prior to pick up to secure your order. - All sales are final once placed Cancellations & Changes - Because everything is baked to order, cancellations or changes are not guaranteed. - If you need to cancel or adjust your order, please contact us at least 72 hours before your pickup time. Latecancellations may not be refundable. Pickup Policy - Pickup is from Rise Cottage at the time window listed at checkout. - Items not picked up during the scheduled window will be held for 24 hours, but refunds are not available for missed pickups. Freshness & Quality - All items are made fresh, sourdough products may have natural variation in taste and appearance, this is part of its handmade charm.
