We know that paying in advance for your freshly baked sourdough might seem a bit unconventional, but here’s why we do it:
Every loaf of our handcrafted sourdough is made with love, time, and a pinch of patience (okay, maybe more than a pinch!). Pre-payment helps us secure the high-quality ingredients we need and ensures we’re baking just the right amount of dough for you—no waste, all flavor. Plus, it allows us to focus entirely on crafting the perfect loaf, rather than stressing about last-minute changes.
Here’s the thing: if orders change at the last minute, we’re left with extra bread that might go to waste. And as much as we’d love to share our loaves with everyone, we’re just a small operation trying to avoid getting stuck with a surplus of sourdough that nobody asked for! Pre-payment ensures we only bake what’s needed, and helps us avoid any “bread overload” situations.
So, when you pre-pay, you’re not just buying bread—you’re securing a slice of our passion, dedication, and artisan magic made especially for you!
Thanks for supporting our little bakery with big dreams. We can’t wait to share our sourdough goodness with you!
How does order pick-up work?
I am based in Rio Rancho near Cabezon and offer bread delivery if you live in the immediate area. Alternatively, I often arrange meetups at Cabezon park. If you live outside the area, I kindly request that you meet me at a central location, I try to ensure convenience for both parties.
Is it possible to receive my order earlier?
With made-to-order bread, there are times when orders are canceled. When this happens, I’m able to reach out to the next customer in line and offer the option of receiving their order sooner than expected. However, sometimes customers prefer to stick to the original delivery time because they want the bread to be as fresh as possible for special occasions, like birthdays or family dinners. I always try to accommodate everyone’s preferences and ensure they get the freshest bread for their needs!
Is Sourdough Healthier Than Store- Bought Bread?
YES!!!! Our sourdough bread offers a healthier alternative to traditional bread, thanks to its slow fermentation process. The natural fermentation helps break down gluten, making it easier to digest, and enhances the bioavailability of nutrients like B vitamins and minerals. Plus, the beneficial bacteria (probiotics) in sourdough support gut health, providing a delicious, nourishing option for your daily bread!
Is Sourdough Bread Gluten-Free?
Please note that our sourdough bread contains gluten, as it is made with traditional wheat flour. While our bread is crafted with care and time-honored methods, it is not suitable for those with celiac disease.
However, many individuals with gluten sensitivities, excluding celiac, have been able to enjoy sourdough bread because of the natural fermentation process and no-preservatives.
We appreciate your understanding and are happy to assist with any further questions!
How Long Does Sourdough Stay Fresh? How Do I Store & Reheat It?
Our sourdough is best enjoyed within 2-4 days of purchase for optimal freshness. For longer storage, we recommend freezing it and toasting it when you're ready to enjoy it.
Sourdough freezes well! Simply slice it before freezing, and toast it straight from the freezer for a freshly baked taste.
Do You Use Organic Ingredients ?
We strive to use high-quality, organic ingredients whenever possible. However, the availability of organic ingredients may vary depending on the product and season.
What is your cancellation or refund policy?
Our breads and pastries are lovingly handcrafted with an extended fermentation process. Because of this special preparation time, we can't offer refunds within 72 hours of your order. However, if we are able to find another customer to purchase your order, we would be happy to reschedule it for a different day. If not, we hope you understand that we won’t be able to provide a refund because your order is already being crafted. Thank you for your understanding and support!
