Cash is preferred whenever possible to cut down on processing fees, but we also accept vennmo payments.
Do you have a storefront?
We are a licenced micro home bakery that is pre-order only. We only do pickups at our bakery and do not have a storefront at this time.
How safe are your gluten-free products?
Since we are a micro home bakery, we are able to have control over what items are prepared in the same workspace. We are extremely careful to make sure there isn't any cross-contamination. Our bread proofing baskets and dutch ovens are all only used for gluten-free products, and we mix the breads in a completely gluten-free kitchen.
What is gluten-free wheat starch? Is it safe?
We use King Arthurs gluten-free bread flour for our sourdough bread. This helps us to create a great sour taste and a solid slice of bread without it falling apart. Gluten-free wheat starch has had the gluten protein removed from the starch. After being removed, the flour is then tested to less than 10 ppm (less than the 20 ppm the FDA requires to be labeled as GF). Our sourdough bread is then fermented a full 24 hours. This develops a more sour flour and naturally reduces any gluten content.
Do you add yeast to your sourdough bread?
We stick with a rustic traditional recipe. We have a gluten-free sourdough starter that only contains natural yeasts . Because we have such a strong starter, we do not need to add any bakers yeast to our sourdough bread !!
Any other baked goods ( that are not sourdough) will contain bakers yeast to achieve a rise in the product.
