Because bread is handmade, slight variations in appearance, texture or taste might occur and are all part of the natural sourdough process.
Thank you for your understanding. I appreciate you ordering from my small business!
Preserving your Bread
As bread cools and is cut into moisture evaporates from the crumb leading to dryness and startch retrogradiation occurs. Starch molecules reorganize into a firmer, more ridged loaf making the bread feel tougher and less fresh over time. Here are some way to help preserve your bread:
⭐️ Keep at room temperature, don’t refrigerate as it may stale faster
⭐️Place the loaf cut - side down on a wooden cutting board. This keeps the crumb inside moist while allowing it to breathe.
⭐️Keep in paper bag or wrap in a tea towel to keep the crust crisp for 2-3 days. Avoid plastic bags
⭐️For long term storage slice and freeze bread. Best used within 3 months.
📍Day 1-2
Best for eating fresh and plain, or add a topping like butter. The best time to devour the whole loaf!
📍Day 3-5
Still edible, but best toasted as bread is denser with a harder crust.
📍Day 5
Ideal for croutons or breadcrumbs
Why sourdough?
Sourdough is often considered a healthier alternative to many other breads because of the natural fermentation process used to make it. During this process yeast and bacteria breakdown parts of the flour which changes the breads nutritional and digestive properties.
