Yes, this is a homemade product made out of my kitchen. I was a cook for close to 10 years and I hold myself to very high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Under the Colorado Cottage Foods act of 2012, all my products will be labeled with the ingredients and the following statement:
“This product was produced in a home kitchen that is not subject to state licensure or inspection and that may also process common food allergens such as tree nuts, peanuts, eggs, soy, wheat, milk, fish and crustacean shellfish. This product is not intended for resale.”
My brittles are both gluten (not certified) and egg free (ingredient list below). There is a small amount of butter in the recipe so if you are intolerant to dairy you may be ok at your own discretion, but if allergic, I would avoid.
