Our Chamoy is made from dehydrated hibiscus, apricot, mango and plums. We add local NM chili powder, salt, honey, and a little citrus juice. It is undoubtedly one of my favorites condiments as it is neither too spicy nor too sweet and also sour and salty all at the same time. Your taste buds are in overdrive!! Chamoy is used to make: Fruit and Vegetable Snacks: Drizzled over fresh-cut fruits like mango, pineapple, watermelon, strawberries, and jicama, or vegetables like cucumbers. Drinks: As a flavorful rim dip for beverages such as micheladas, mangonadas, and various cocktails or sodas. Candies and Snacks: To coat gummy candies, chips, popcorn, or even pickles, creating popular spicy and tangy treats. Savory Dishes: As a dipping sauce or marinade for grilled meats, especially pork. It can also be incorporated into dishes like tostilocos. Desserts: Drizzled over ice cream or sorbets for a unique flavor combination.
