Floral Piping: Explore different flower types (roses, tulips, etc.) and techniques for creating realistic and intricate designs.
Fondant & Gum Paste: Teach students how to work with fondant, including rolling, draping, and creating intricate designs.
Sculpting & Modeling: Introduce basic sculpting techniques using fondant or gum paste to create 3D elements.
Explore techniques for adding color and texture to cakes using airbrushes or edible paints.
Texturing: Introduce various techniques to create textured surfaces on cakes, such as using different tools or piping techniques.
Discuss design principles like balance, color theory, and proportion to help students create visually appealing cakes.
Advanced Piping:
Explore different piping techniques, such as creating borders, patterns, and textures.
Cake Construction:
Teach students how to build and stack multi-tiered cakes, including doweling and leveling techniques.
Color Blending & Mixing:
Teach students how to create custom colors and blends for their cakes.
2. Hands-On Practice & Challenges:
Provide opportunities for you to practice new techniques through hands-on projects, such as decorating specific cakes or cupcakes.
Design Challenges:
Incorporate design challenges to encourage creativity and problem-solving, such as themed cakes or specific design requests.
Critique & Feedback:
Provide constructive feedback on students' work, focusing on areas for improvement and celebrating successes.
