Elevate your baking with a hands on class that will teach you how to create a basic loaf of artisan sourdough bread! Class will last 2 to 2 1/2 hours, and will cover mixing dough, stretch and folds, coil folds, bulk fermenting, shaping, cold retard, scoring, baking and taking care of your starter. Each step is not complicated, and soon you’ll be blessing your family with healthful, scrumptious bread!
Each participant will leave with a container that serves as a banneton, a bench scraper, a written recipe and instructions, plus a free loaf of dough for you to complete at home and a free jar of proven sourdough starter! We’ll also be sampling a loaf that bakes during the class. Participants will also have your own mentor as I will be available to answer your baking questions as you work on your own bread at home. We also have our own FB page for alumni where you can share your bakes, recipes and ask questions!

“Unique and fun experience. We hosted a private class and it was a wonderful experience. Everyone left smiling and we are all still talking about it! Highly recommend for a small intimate event. Bread was delicious 😋”
“I took the sourdough making class, and I am blown away at the knowledge I learned! I highly recommend this class if wanting to get into sourdough making. The steps were very easily broken down to make it not as overwhelming. I am super excited to try and bake my own now at home!”
Participants will shape and bake two delicious types of sourdough treats using dough that has already been proofed. Each student will produce two English muffins and 3 mini pretzels to eat and/or take home!
Because of how much we’ll be accomplishing, and the time it will take allowing dough to rise and items to bake, this class will take 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Wow your family and friends with your ability to make these amazing treats, free from preservatives and unhealthy ingredients!
We’ll enjoy some scones and tea while we wait for items to rise/bake!
Class will be Saturday, April 18, at 9am in Falcon

This is a larger group class where you will receive a jar of free starter and an instruction booklet. We will go over all the basic steps of taking care of your starter, mixing, bulk fermenting, shaping, scoring and baking, ending with a taste of bread we just baked! We’ll also have a drawing for a cute sourdough apron!
Well behaved children aged 10-15 are welcome to sign up with a responsible adult. Students 16 years and older are welcome without an adult.
This class is meant to help you decide if you want to go all in with sourdough or not, or if you just want a fun class with a friend without too much invested. If you already know you’re committed to learning sourdough, the main class would probably suit you better. In that class we will do all the same things, but will add more hands on time, scoring and shaping loaves, talk more about using different grains and more of the science behind getting a great loaf of bread! You will also get some inexpensive sourdough tools, a loaf of dough to bake at home, a more extensive instruction booklet, and access to my private Facebook group where we share recipes, pics of our bakes, and get help with our process. You can always take the more advanced class after getting the basics down with this introductory class!
The minimum number needed to hold this class is 6. If fewer than that sign up I reserve the right to cancel/reschedule.
Let me know if you have a group who would like to schedule an introductory class! Moms’ groups, church groups, homeschool groups, neighborhood rec centers, etc.
Join us as we make sourdough cinnamon rolls - 3 shapes with one type of dough! We’ll make a Swedish Tea Ring, cinnamon rolls, and a beautiful snowflake shaped bread! You’ll get to eat some warm from the oven and have more to take home! We’ll also have a wonderful cream cheese frosting to go on top of one pan, while another pan gets a gooey caramel soak. Scroll through the pics to see what we’ll be making. This is an excellent recipe to use up some sourdough discard. This class usually runs 2 - 2 1/2 hours.
