Beeswax Wrap
Locally made beeswax wrap keeps your bread fresh for days! This is cloth that’s actually infused, not just coated with something that will crack and come off with use. Ingredients are organic local Colorado beeswax, organic food grade rosin and organic jojoba oil. These can be picked up at The Monument Farmer’s Market on Saturdays through Oct 3rd from 8-1, or at Swirly Cow in Falcon right after the market, usually 2-2:30. Large size covers one of my large sourdough loaves, or use it to replace your plastic and cover other items in your kitchen! We’ve had multiple people who bought these at the Monument Farmer’s Market this summer come back and tell how fresh they keep the bread. One lady said her loaf stayed fresh for almost two weeks on the counter, wrapped in one of these! Contact Carrie directly if you need more information - large quantities, shipping, specific cloth design. Info@beelovedhome.com

Artisan Sourdough Bread Class
Elevate your baking with a hands on class that will teach you how to create a basic loaf of artisan sourdough bread! Class will last 2 to 2 1/2 hours, and will cover mixing dough, stretch and folds, coil folds, bulk fermenting, shaping, cold retard, scoring, baking and taking care of your starter. Each step is not complicated, and soon you’ll be blessing your family with healthful, scrumptious bread! Each participant will leave with a container that serves as a banneton, a bench scraper, a written recipe and instructions, plus a free loaf of dough for you to complete at home and a free jar of proven sourdough starter! We’ll also be sampling a loaf that bakes during the class. Participants will also have your own mentor as I will be available to answer your baking questions as you work on your own bread at home. We also have our own FB page for alumni where you can share your bakes, recipes and ask questions! _______________________________________ AVAILABLE PUBLIC CLASSES ARE AS FOLLOWS: None currently scheduled _______________________________________ If you select In Person Class, I will invoice you for half the price up front, the other half will be due at class. Just select the date that corresponds to the class you want to take. Family member discount - first person full price, each additional family member gets a $10 discount. Let me know in the comments so I can give you the discount when I send my invoice. Please sign family members up together to get the discount. Well behaved children aged 10-15 are welcome to sign up with an adult who is also taking the class. 16 and up are welcome without an adult. Want to take a class for half price? I’m looking for people to host classes in the Colorado Springs area. You don’t need a large kitchen, just a table or island that will fit 6-8 bakers. Contact me if you’re interested! Susan 719-396-1635. There is also the option to have a private class in your home. For that there is a minimum of 4 students and no discount. If you’re struggling financially and would like a partial scholarship, message me. I know what it’s like and don’t want finances to get in the way of learning to make great, healthy bread! _______________________________________ Reviews “Unique and fun experience. We hosted a private class and it was a wonderful experience. Everyone left smiling and we are all still talking about it! Highly recommend for a small intimate event. Bread was delicious 😋” “I took the sourdough making class, and I am blown away at the knowledge I learned! I highly recommend this class if wanting to get into sourdough making. The steps were very easily broken down to make it not as overwhelming. I am super excited to try and bake my own now at home!”

Introductory Artisan Sourdough Class
This is a larger group class where you will receive a jar of free starter and an instruction booklet. We will go over all the basic steps of taking care of your starter, mixing, bulk fermenting, shaping, scoring and baking, ending with a taste of bread we just baked! We’ll also have a drawing for a cute sourdough apron! Well behaved children aged 10-15 are welcome to sign up with a responsible adult. Students 16 years and older are welcome without an adult. This class is meant to help you decide if you want to go all in with sourdough or not, or if you just want a fun class with a friend without too much invested. If you already know you’re committed to learning sourdough, the main class would probably suit you better. In that class we will do all the same things, but will add more hands on time, scoring and shaping loaves, talk more about using different grains and more of the science behind getting a great loaf of bread! You will also get some inexpensive sourdough tools, a loaf of dough to bake at home, a more extensive instruction booklet, and access to my private Facebook group where we share recipes, pics of our bakes, and get help with our process. You can always take the more advanced class after getting the basics down with this introductory class! Let me know if you have a group who would like to schedule an introductory class! Moms’ groups, church groups, homeschool groups, neighborhood rec centers, etc.

Sourdough Pretzel and English Muffin Class
Participants will shape and bake two delicious types of sourdough treats using dough that has already been proofed. Each student will produce a couple English muffins and some mini pretzels to eat and/or take home! Because of how much we’ll be accomplishing, and the time it will take allowing dough to rise and items to bake, this class will take 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Wow your family and friends with your ability to make these amazing treats, free from preservatives and unhealthy ingredients! We’ll enjoy some scones and tea while we wait for items to rise/bake! No public classes currently scheduled.

I’ve always loved to bake for my family of 9, but I’m currently obsessed with sourdough! My main focus is artisan sourdough, but I also make sandwich loaves and specialty flavors, which change with the seasons and at my whim.
If you’d like to up the nutrition of your bread, add 20% fresh milled whole wheat flour to any loaf for $1 extra! Add $2 per loaf for 20% Einkorn, Kamut or Rouge de Bordeaux. Just write what you’d like in the notes section of your order!
In 2024 I decided to share my knowledge to help launch home bakers on their sourdough journey. It can be very confusing to learn from online sources, as there is so much information out there! I get you started with a basic recipe where you’ll learn the processes and what to look for in making great bread. After class you’ll have access to my private sourdough Facebook group where we share recipes, post pics of our bread and ask questions! The learning never ends!
Join one of my public classes, or book a private party. Not sure if you’re ready to invest in fresh, healthy bread for your family? Check out my reviews to see what past students are saying!
