Elevate your baking with a hands on class that will teach you how to create a basic loaf of artisan sourdough bread! Class will last about 2 hours, and will cover mixing dough, stretch and folds, bulk fermenting, shaping, cold retard, scoring, baking and taking care of your starter. Each step is not complicated, and soon you’ll be blessing your family with healthful, scrumptious bread!
Each participant will leave with a container that serves as a banneton, a bench scraper, a written recipe and instructions, plus a free loaf of dough for you to complete at home and a free jar of proven sourdough starter! We’ll also be sampling a loaf that bakes during the class. Participants will also have your own mentor as I will be available to answer your baking questions as you work on your own bread at home. We also have our own Facebook page for alumni where you can share your bakes and recipes, and ask questions!
Enjoy some of my Tiny Treats during class. Selections may include scones, cookies, fudge, or other treats!
This particular class differs from my regular Artisan class in that it will be held at Aspen Kitchens on N Nevada. Large oval delectable artisan sourdough bread! Soft and fluffy on the inside, crusty on the outside.
If you’d like special scoring, comment “leaves”, or “trees,” in the notes section. For these loaves there is extra flour on the outside, so don’t request these patterns if you are sensitive to gluten. Or request rice flour on the outside.

Why 3 loaves you ask? Because the crust of this buttery loaf has an irresistible crunch reminiscent of a croissant. Small loaves give you a higher crust to interior ratio! Made with quality Kerrygold Irish butter grated and layered in.
Yes, it’s an expensive loaf, but hear me out - quality aged white cheddar and Herbs de Provence from France. One taste and you’ll be coming back for more! This loaf is next level!
Lumpy and luscious, soft orange flavored dough with cranberry inclusions.
Fresh, tart lemon pairs with sweet blueberries in this unforgettable loaf. Specify in comments if you’d like it tart or more sweet. A tart loaf will have no sweetener. A sweet loaf will have honey and less lemon zest.

A nice blend of sweet and hot. Mike’s Hot Honey combined with some crushed red pepper flakes makes this a special loaf!
A decadent loaf with lots of chocolate chips! A bit of espresso elevates the chocolate flavor without being super sweet.

Two half size loaves of softer sourdough - one for now, one to freeze! This recipe has a little honey and olive oil to make a softer crust. Pre-sliced for easy eating!
This is my way to bless the seniors of our community, so please only buy if you are 65+, or you’ll be gifting it to someone who is. Let’s spread the sourdough love!
