This is more of a rustic blend with Organic bread flour and organic whole wheat flour with dried Montmorency cherries & walnuts with a touch of organic maple syrup and cardamom. This bread is perfect with a tangy goat cheese or alongside a savory pork or chicken roast, dipped in a balsamic sauce or with a simple cultured butter.
Spring is here and lemons are in season! This fresh lemony loaf is not a sweet cake bread. This is a sourdough bread made with fresh lemon zest and poppy seeds kneaded into the dough. We add a touch of honey & avocado oil to round out the tartness, and it’s baked to a golden brown. This bread is perfect in the morning toasted with real butter spread on top and a little drizzle of honey or lemon marmalade.
