Chocolate-Dipped Fruit Care Tips
Here are some care and handling tips for keeping everything fresh and beautiful until serving or gifting:
Before Pickup
•Bring a cooler or insulated bag if it’s warm outside. Chocolate and fruit are both heat-sensitive.
•Clear space in your fridge ahead of time, especially for dipped fruit like strawberries that should be refrigerated soon after pickup.
•Avoid running other errands first — plan pickup close to when you’ll be home or delivering.
During Transport
•Keep them cool but not frozen:
Ideal temperature is around 50–60°F (10–16°C) for chocolate-dipped treats, or fridge-cool (about 40°F / 4°C) for fruit.
•Lay flat and secure:
Place boxes on a level surface in your car (like the floor, not the seat) to prevent sliding.
•Avoid direct sunlight:
Even a few minutes in a warm car can cause chocolate to melt or “bloom” (turn whitish).
After Pickup — Storage
Chocolate-Dipped Fruit: (Strawberries, Apples, Pineapples)
•Refrigerate immediately if not serving within 2 hours.
•Consume within 24–48 hours for best flavor and texture (the fruit releases moisture over time).
If Gifting or Displaying
•Keep indoors until ready to gift or serve.
•Avoid handling too much — fingerprints melt chocolate quickly.
•For best presentation, remove from fridge 15–30 minutes before serving to let chocolate soften slightly.
