What a loaded question! Sourdough offers several amazing health benefits, including:
1. Digestibility: The natural fermentation process breaks down gluten and phytic acid, making sourdough easier to digest than other breads.
2. Improved Nutrient Absorption: The fermentation enhances the availability of nutrients like B vitamins, iron, and magnesium.
3. Probiotics: The lactic acid bacteria involved in the fermentation process may support gut health and improve digestion.
4. Lower Glycemic Index: Sourdough has a lower glycemic index compared to regular bread, which helps in managing blood sugar levels.
5. Longer Shelf Life: The natural acids and fermentation help preserve sourdough without the need for preservatives.
6. Better Flavor: The fermentation process gives sourdough a distinct tangy flavor and texture, which many people enjoy.
How long is my bread loaf good for?
My bread is made without any preservatives or extra random ingredients, so the bread loaves and most of my other baked goods are only good after baking for 3-5 days.
Bread boxes/bags are a great way for storage to avoid the bread drying out or molding too quickly.
Fridge storage for bread loaves will make them dry.
Although, you can always slice and freeze to enjoy as you wish!
How do I know what ingredients are in my order items?
If you have any questions regarding ingredients prior to receiving your order, you can message me!
Otherwise, the item's ingredients will be listed on the back/bottom of the bag/box.
