Hi, I'm Courtney, a passionate and creative soul who loves baking from scratch, journaling for growth, and bringing softness and strength into everything I do. I believe in the power of presence, patience, and homemade, from scratch sweetness - using my great grandmother's recipes and natural, locally sourced ingredients.
In 2018- I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and was taken out of work, as well as being put onto a low-sugar, Vegan diet, and full-time bed rest. That drove me crazy! So, in my newfound free time, I opened up my grandmother's recipes and started baking. I also started learning how to make meals and ingredients from scratch given my new dietary restrictions. A few months later, I had brain surgery. As a result, I lost my sense of smell and taste as well as sight in my right eye. Funny enough- I still can't smell or taste yet everything I bake comes out perfectly balanced. I also became a heavy believer that from scratch not only tastes better, but is also much better for your body!
