My favorite role in life is being a mom, and I cherish the opportunity to share that warmth and love with your students and loved ones. I grew up baking with my mom and learned a great deal about making treats from my many aunts, who inspired my passion for baking. My grandparents were from Italy and brought their cherished family recipes with them—many of which I still use today.
Originally from western New York near Buffalo and with family in Indiana, I have lived in various places, including Silicon Valley and the East Coast. These diverse experiences allow me to bring a unique perspective to my baking, blending traditional recipes with a modern touch. After discovering Upland, Indiana, when my son, Preston, enrolled at Taylor University, I just knew we had to be a part of this community, and we are so glad to be here! Preston often joins me in baking adventures and helps with deliveries.
My educational journey includes earning an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University and a BA from SUNY Fredonia, which have both enriched my approach to baking and community engagement.
As a Christian and former Director of Youth and Family Ministry, I strive to infuse my work with faith and positivity. I believe in the power of community and the importance of nurturing relationships. One of my favorite Bible verses is Philippians 4:13: 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.' I look forward to connecting with you and sharing the joy of baking and family traditions!

Food Allergy Information
As a parent of a child with food allergies, I understand it is useful to be aware of allergen and cross-contact information. I cannot guarantee that any of my food products are free from allergens, as they are produced in a kitchen where allergens are present and equipment is shared, which means there is a possibility of cross-contact.
Products are produced in a facility that also uses milk, eggs, peanuts, soy, wheat, tree nuts, shellfish, fish, and sesame.
Please note that any order for a food allergic individual must be discussed in advance to ensure proper understanding and communication regarding your specific needs. Not all requests may be able to be accommodated.
Gluten-Friendly vs. Gluten-Free
Q: Do you offer gluten-free products?
A: At Upland Confections, we do not offer gluten-free products. Our kitchen is not a dedicated gluten-free facility, which is essential for ensuring that baked goods are truly free from gluten and safe for individuals with celiac disease, severe gluten sensitivities, or wheat allergies.
Q: Why is it important to understand the difference between gluten-free and gluten-friendly products?
A: Understanding the distinction between gluten-free and gluten-containing products is crucial, especially in environments where gluten-containing items are also produced. Gluten-free products are prepared in dedicated facilities to eliminate any risk of cross-contamination with gluten. In contrast, gluten-friendly products may not contain wheat or gluten as ingredients, but they are still produced in an environment where cross-contact with gluten-containing products can occur, potentially leading to trace amounts of gluten. This distinction is vital for individuals with gluten-related disorders, such as celiac disease or wheat allergies, as even minimal exposure to gluten can lead to serious health consequences.
Thank you for your understanding and support!
Licensed and Branded Content Policy
Q: Do you make character‑themed or branded designs?
A: I am not able to create or sell baked goods that include licensed or copyrighted characters, logos, or branded imagery. These designs are legally protected, and reproducing them without permission is not allowed.
If you are working with a local business or organization that owns its logo and can provide written permission, I am happy to review that documentation and discuss custom options.
I am always glad to create designs inspired by your event’s colors, themes, or overall aesthetic.
