Yes! Everything we make uses 100% vegan ingredients.
What does vegan mean?
Being a vegan company means we don’t use any animal-based ingredients. This means that we don’t use any meat, fish, dairy (including milk, butter, yogurt), eggs, honey, and any other animal derivatives in our products.
What do you use instead of dairy and eggs?
We use a pea protein based milk instead of cow’s milk. We do not use nut milks in our products.
We use an olive oil-based vegan butter rather than a milk-based butter.
We use many different alternatives for eggs depending on the recipe including:
Applesauce
Flax seeds
Olive oil & water
Apple cider vinegar & baking soda
What type of flour do we use for gluten-free products?
We use a rice flour and tapioca starch based flour. We do not use nut based flours.
Do you have nut-free/peanut-free products?
Yes! We do not use any hidden nut ingredients such as nut milk or flours. We take care in making nut-containing ingredients separately from our other products. We do make certain products containing nuts such as pecan pie, coconut cake, and peanut butter cookies. There is coconut oil in our homemade vegan caramel as well. These are made at separate times in separate places from most of our products. 95% of our products are nut-free/peanut-free. We do have nuts and peanuts in our kitchen. Please reach out with any questions.
Do your products contain soy?
Yes, most of our products contain soy. Soy lecithin is a binder in our butter alternative that is in many of our products. If soy lecithin does not trigger an allergenic reaction in you, this may be acceptable.
We can alter our recipes to make them 100% soy-free (without soy or soy lecithin) for a $3 up-charge per one dozen items.
Are our products dye-free?
Yes! Our products are dye-free unless otherwise specified. We use many dye-alternatives for our products we sell at the farmer’s market. These include:
Elderberries
Beets
Turmeric
Spinach powder
Matcha powder
Green spirulina powder
Green apple concentrate
Blue spirulina powder
Red cabbage
Blueberries
Cocoa powder
Black cocoa powder
However, we do use dyes, coloring additives , and sprinkles upon request for private orders which are still plant-based and vegan. Pictures in our gallery may showcase products which contain dyes and may not be able to be recreated in the same manner dye-free.
I have a unique food allergy, can you accommodate for that?
Yes! We do not only accommodate for top 9 allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, eggs, wheat, soy, fish, shellfish, and sesame). We also can accommodate any restrictions you might need. Common allergens we commonly make changes for include:
Cinnamon
Rice
Cocoa
Berries
Corn
Oats
Please just let us know what you need and we can figure out a way to get you want you’d like!
