Why is full payment required at the time of ordering?
As a small, made-to-order bakery, we begin preparing your items shortly after your order is placed. Full payment secures your spot on our baking schedule and helps cover the cost of ingredients and supplies. This ensures we can give every order the care and attention it deserves!
How are your items priced? Why are they more than store-bought treats?
Great question! Every item at The Dough Haus is priced with care and intention. You’re not just paying for ingredients — you’re supporting a small-batch, homemade process that includes:
• High-quality ingredients (real butter, vanilla, local goods when possible)
• Time-intensive prep (mixing, baking, decorating, and cleaning up!)
• Home kitchen utilities (think: oven time, power, water, tools)
• Custom packaging to keep your treats fresh and presentation-worthy
• And most importantly, the love and attention that goes into each and every order
Everything is made from scratch, by hand — and we believe that quality and craftsmanship are worth valuing. Thank you for supporting a real person and a real kitchen with your sweet tooth!
Do you offer allergen-free options?
While we’re happy to accommodate certain dietary requests when possible, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment. Our kitchen handles common allergens such as nuts, dairy, eggs, wheat, and soy, and cross-contamination may occur. If you have a serious allergy, we recommend ordering with caution.
How far in advance should I place my order?
We kindly ask for at least 72 hours’ notice for all orders. Everything is baked fresh to order, and this lead time ensures we can source ingredients, plan our schedule, and give your treats the attention they deserve. For larger or custom orders, more notice may be needed — feel free to reach out early!
I missed out on a presale item — can I still get one?
We totally understand how fast things can sell out! While presales are limited and spots fill quickly, you’re always welcome to reach out. We may be able to squeeze you in or offer you a spot if there’s a cancellation. It never hurts to ask — we’ll do our best to make it happen!
I need something last-minute — can you help?
We do our best to accommodate last-minute requests when our schedule allows. However, orders placed with less than 72 hours’ notice are subject to a $25 convenience fee if accepted. This helps cover the added time and resources needed to fulfill rush orders. Reach out — if we can make it work, we will!
What’s the best way to contact you?
You can text (402) 741-1469 or email amandalipker@gmail.com with any questions or order inquiries. Please allow up to 24 hours for a response — we’re likely in the kitchen baking something delicious, but we’ll get back to you as soon as possible!
I’m looking for something that’s not on the menu — can you make it?
We love getting creative! If you’re craving something specific that isn’t listed, feel free to reach out with a custom request. We’re always happy to chat and accommodate when possible — let’s make your sweet idea a reality!
Do you offer delivery?
Yes! We offer local delivery within 20 miles of Albion on orders of $35 or more. Just let us know during ordering if you’d like delivery, and we’ll coordinate a time that works for you.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We currently accept:
• Venmo: @AmandaRasmussen1
• Cash (due at time of order)
Please note: We do not accept checks at this time.
When will I receive my refund if my order is cancelled?
If your order is canceled and qualifies for a refund, refunds are processed on Fridays, which are my dedicated bookkeeping day.
* Venmo payments will be refunded through Venmo on Fridays.
* Cash payments will be refunded in cash and coordinated for pickup or delivery, when applicable.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as I balance baking, family life, and running The Dough Haus!
