Welcome! My name is Kayla. I’m the owner of The Cake & Crumb Boutique. I am a home based microbakery that specializes in rustic sourdough bread and buttercream cakes.
My authentic sourdough bread is a labor of love. Crafted with just 3 premium ingredients, each loaf undergoes a 24 hour process ensuring the perfect balance of flavors. Handmade and patiently fermented, my sourdough boasts a tangy, crusty exterior and a chewy, soft interior.
When it comes to buttercream cakes, I’m all about the artistry. My expertise is hand-piped buttercream florals and decadent buttercream drip cakes. I’m very passionate about creating edible art solely using buttercream.
I do not offer fondant, faux cakes, or sculpted cakes.
Capabilities & Pricing
All cake orders require a 2 week minimum lead time. It is recommended to book as far in advanced as possible, I take on a limited number of orders each week to ensure the highest quality for each order.
Sourdough bread orders require a minimum of a 72 hour lead time. I will typically have loaves ready for purchase on Sundays.
For all cake orders: 50% deposit due upon order confirmation.
Remaining balance due 72 hours before due date
All sales are final.
Customer assumes full responsibility for product after order has been picked up/ delivered.
I can only accept orders in the state of CT and do not ship in state or out of state.
Policies
Cake Care And Transportation
All cakes are made exclusively with buttercream. To ensure quality, cakes must remain refrigerated. Remove cake from refrigerator approximately 2 hours before serving. All cakes will come in cake boxes. Please transport cakes on a level surface in your vehicle such as the floor to prevent tipping and sliding.
Policies & Customer Agreement
All orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit upon confirmation of order. All orders require a MINIMUM 2 week lead time. Remaining balance due 72 hours prior to order pick up. Please read all cake care and transport information found in your invoice. Customer confirmation/ acceptance of electronic contract sent via text/email through The Cake & Crumb Boutique’s Bakesy Shop serves as acknowledgment of above policies.
