Thank you for choosing Sweets by Steph! Below, you will find information regarding booking orders, deposits, order minimums, pricing, etc.; however, please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions!

Sweets by Steph is a woman owned Home bakery, located in Belleville Michigan, operating under the State of Michigan Cottage Food Law. Sweets by Steph specializes in custom buttercream cakes and cupcakes. Please note that products may have come in contact with, or contain common allergens such as peanuts, tree nuts, milk/dairy, eggs and gluten.

•Customer Agreement Disclaimer•

By submitting any form of payment, the customer acknowledges and accepts the terms stated below.

•Placing an order•

Each cake or sweet treat created by Sweets by Steph is a custom design. While inspiration photos are welcomed, please note that each design is open to creative interpretation and will not be a replica of the inspiration photo provided. Because each cake is custom made and tailored to you, we ask that orders be placed at least 3 weeks in advance. Orders can be placed up to 2 months in advance. Rush orders will be accessed for an additional fee. In order to secure your date and before an order will be accepted, a non-refundable retainer of 50% of the total amount due must be paid within 24 hours of invoicing. If the deposit is not paid within 24 hours of invoicing, the order request will be cancelled. After your order is received, a phone consultation will be scheduled to confirm the details of the order. The remaining balance is due 1 week prior to delivery. Changes to the order can be made no later than 2 weeks prior to delivery. Please note that prices listed below are the starting price. The final cost will change based upon design complexity, specialty flavors, fillings, etc.

•Pickup or Delivery•

Each customer will be given the option of pick up or delivery. An agreed upon time will be determined during the consultation phone call and will be noted on your invoice. It is imperative that we respect each other’s time and adhere to the agreed upon pick up/delivery times. A 15 minute grace period will be given for late pick up times. After 15 minutes, an additional fee may be assessed.

Delivery is available for an additional fee of $25 within a 15 mile radius. An additional $2 per mile will be assessed for each mile outside of the 15 mile radius. If I arrive and no one is present to accept the delivery, I will wait for 15 minutes. If no one is present after 15 minutes, arrangements will need to be made for pick up at a later time and the delivery fee will not be refunded.

•Refunds•

While Sweets by Steph strives to ensure that each custom creation far exceeds your expectations, we understand that things happen. In the event that your custom creation does not meet expectations, due to an error on my behalf (wrong flavor, wrong design) a partial refund may be given upon the return of the items. It is your responsibility to check your items upon delivery/pickup. Once your items are in your possession, Sweets by Steph LLC no longer assumes any responsibility for the items or damages caused to it. This includes travel and improper storage.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances on my behalf, such as sickness, injury, inclement weather or accident, a credit or refund may be granted for use within 1 year’s time. Orders cancelled by the customer no later than 2 weeks prior to the event will have their retainer/payment applied to a future order. Credit to be used within 1 year’s time.

•Allergens•

Products may contain or have come in contact with common allergens: milk, egg, wheat, tree nuts, peanuts, soybeans, fish, shellfish or other common allergens. While every precaution will be taken in the cases of known allergies, it remains the full responsibility of the customer to inform their guests of possible allergens. Sweets by Steph LLC is not responsible for any allergic reactions.
