Send me a message with your cake idea, inspo photos, date needed, serving size, and colour/theme. I’ll provide a quote and finalize the design with you.
How far in advance should I place my order?
I recommend 2–4 weeks’ notice for custom cakes. Busy seasons may require more time. Rush orders depend on availability.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date. Your order isn’t confirmed until the deposit is paid.
How much do your cakes cost?
Prices vary based on size, flavour, and design complexity. Detailed piping, fondant work, florals, or themed designs increase the price.
What size cakes do you offer?
I offer sizes from 6–9 inches, plus tiered options. I can help you choose the right size based on your guest count.
Do you offer delivery?
Yes! I offer two types of delivery options:
• Local Delivery (Barrie & surrounding areas): Available for an additional fee and delivered directly to your address.
• Toronto Delivery (Pickup at my husband’s workplace): If you’re in Toronto, you can choose convenient pickup at my husband’s work location.
Please note: I do not deliver to customer addresses in Toronto — pickup is only available at the workplace location.
(This option is only available if you want to pick up from Monday to Friday)
What flavours do you offer?
A variety of flavours including vanilla, chocolate, red velvet, lemon, strawberry shortcake, Ferrero Rocher, custard, Nutella, Biscoff and more.
Do you make allergy-friendly cakes?
I can accommodate some allergies (such as nut-free), but my kitchen is not allergen-free, so cross-contamination is possible.
Can I change my order after booking?
Small changes are allowed up to 7 days before pickup. Major design changes may not be possible close to the date. It really depends on what it is! Please message me!
Do you take last-minute orders?
Sometimes! It depends on my baking schedule. Message me and I’ll check availability.
Do you offer cake tastings?
Tastings are available for wedding or large orders and must be booked in advance.
How should I store my cake?
Keep cakes refrigerated until 2-3 hours before serving take it out!
Do you offer cupcakes or other treats?
Only cupcakes!
What is your cancellation policy?
Deposits are non-refundable. You can cancel before 7 days of your order due date, but cannot return your deposit.
How should I transport my cake?
Place the cake flat in the trunk or on the floor of your vehicle. Do not put it on the seat — seats tilt, and the cake will slide.
Can someone hold the cake on their lap?
No. Holding a cake can cause tilting, dents, and collapse. It must be on a stable, level surface.
Does the car need to be cold?
Yes! Keep the car cool, especially in warmer months. Buttercream and fondant soften with heat, so air conditioning is important.
How do I keep the cake from sliding around?
Use a non-slip mat under the cake box. Drive slowly, take turns gently, and avoid sudden stops.
What if I have a long drive home?
For trips over an hour, keep the cake fully chilled before leaving and ensure the car stays cool the entire time. Let me know in advance and I can add extra stability if needed.
What should I do once I get home?
Place the cake in the fridge right away. Take it out 2-3 hours before serving so it can soften to room temperature.
What if something happens to the cake after pickup?
Once the cake leaves my hands, I am not responsible for any damage during transport or afterward. I provide full instructions to help you get it home safely.
How do I store the cake after it’s been cut?
Once the cake is cut, wrap any exposed cake layers tightly with plastic wrap to keep it from drying out. Place the entire cake back in the box and refrigerate. Or, you can store in an airtight container.
Do I need to keep the leftover cake in the fridge?
Yes, store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. This keeps the cake fresh and prevents it from absorbing fridge smells.
How long will the cake stay fresh?
Most cakes stay fresh for 3–4 days in the fridge when stored properly. Cakes with fresh fruit or cream fillings should be eaten sooner.
Can I freeze the leftover cake?
Yes! Slice the cake, wrap each slice tightly in plastic wrap, then place in a freezer-safe bag or container. It lasts up to 2–3 months in the freezer.
How do I thaw frozen cake?
Take the slice out of the freezer and let it thaw in the fridge or at room temperature for 30–60 minutes. Buttercream softens quickly once thawed.
