Hey Sweets💞, My name is Jumika Nathaniel, the proud owner of Sweet Encounters LLC. I was born and raised in the US Virgin Islands 🇻🇮 where my journey into the world of cake decorating began in 2017. Despite lacking prior experience, I seized the opportunity to adorn cakes for a local grocery store. Driven by my eagerness to learn and refine my skills, I delved into this new craft. A year later, I found myself employed at 'In the Mix Cakery and Cafe,' a prestigious bakery in St. Croix. It was there that my passion for cake decorating blossomed even further. In the Mix became a sanctuary for me, affirming that this was my dream. Unfortunately, personal circumstances led me to unexpectedly relocate, forcing me to leave behind my beloved cake decorating pursuits.

Subsequently, I enrolled in college to study Medical Billing and Coding, excelling as the top student in my class. This academic achievement paved the way for a career as a medical administrative representative, allowing me to work from the comfort of my home. When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, I found myself seeking creative outlets. A simple Google search for a butter cookie recipe sparked a new chapter in my life. Armed with a ziplock bag as a makeshift piping bag, I crafted and piped my cookies with enthusiasm. Sharing a photo of my creation on Facebook proved to be a turning point. The positive feedback of my butter cookies and cakes, by my family and friends who recognized my passion for cake decorating, and baking inspired me to establish Sweet Encounters in June 2020.🎂🎉
