Our sourdough loaves do not contain artificial ingredients or preservatives, and therefore need some extra care to stay fresh for as long as possible!
A whole sourdough loaf can be stored in the plastic bag it’s delivered in. Sliced sourdough should be stored in a Ziplock bag to prevent it from drying out.
For the freshest flavor, bread is best within 3 days of baking date and will last up to 5 days when properly stored. To freeze bread, store it sliced or whole in a freezer bag – this will last for months.
If defrosting from sliced, put in a toaster frozen or put in the fridge the night before.
If defrosting from whole, preheat the oven to 350 and run the whole loaf under room temp water for 15 seconds and place directly on the oven rack for 15 minutes.
Enjoy!
All sourdough loaves are large 10 inch batards, approximately 2 lbs. This size can easily feed 4-6 people.
All sourdough loaves are naturally leavened with wild-type yeast from a sourdough starter. The ingredients are simple - just sourdough starter, flour, water, and salt! Any inclusions added are always fresh and high quality for the best taste possible.
Sourdough loaves do contain wheat and gluten for those with allergies.
