The sourdough bread was fresh and delicious! The chocolate chip cookies are to die for!! I’ll definitely be a repeat customer!

Southern Michele has some major talent! I ordered chocolate chip and pecan cookies, a sourdough loaf, blueberry lemon streusel muffins, and blueberry lemon scookie (scone cookie). Everything and I mean everything was FANTASTIC! I'm not usually big on scones since they tend to be dry, but this was so moist and delicious! The cookies melt in your mouth. The bread is light and chewy. I had to show restraint to not eat the whole loaf in one sitting! The blueberry lemon streusel muffin is hands down the BEST muffin i have had in my entire life. No kidding at all. The crumbly topping- awesome. The distribution of blueberry- perfect. The overall experience- phenomenal! I highly recommend southern Michele for all your baked goodies!

I was delighted to find Southern Michele’s – Sourdough & more Micro Cottage Bakery located close to me. I have been looking for an organic, soy free bread for a long time. She bakes and sells a selection of organic sourdough breads and cookies from her home and at a DC market. She made the transaction easy and convenient for me. For my first order I chose a plain sourdough loaf, jalapeno cheddar focaccia and the brown butter sourdough chocolate chip cookies. She meticulously removed ribs and most seeds from peppers to yield the best jalapeno and cheese flavor in the focaccia. I cut the focaccia square into 8 bars and sliced a bar to make a sandwich roll that I stuffed with chicken, bacon and avocado. Used in a sandwich or by itself the jalapeno cheddar focaccia was truly one of the best bread products I have ever had. We used the plain loaf for sandwiches and toast. It was flavorful and chewy. It was very filling without being heavy. One could easily make a full meal out of one of these sandwiches. The brown butter sourdough chocolate chip cookies were sublime. Studded with chocolate chips they were chewy and addictive while not being overly sweet.

Recently bought some sourdough bread regular and jalapeño. Also bought sourdough cookies with chocolate chips, which were phenomenal!! Also purchased blueberry muffins which were outstanding!!!It’s nice to buy products for a person who takes pride in what they do.Everything is made fresh and you can taste the difference!!!! Definitely going to be a repeat customer for life. You will not go wrong with what you try!! Homer
