Overall the cake looked nice. 90% like the photo provided. It wasn’t secure in the box so the icing was smudged. It seemed a bit pricey considering it’s a home bakery. I picked the cake up over a fence outdoors at her apartment, so I have no idea if the cake was prepared in a sanitary environment. Communication seemed a bit off I paid the deposit as soon as I received the invoice but was asked a week later if I still needed the appointment. When I advised that I had paid the deposit, she said I should have told her to lock in the booking, but those instructions aren’t listed anywhere. I do like that she uses a website for bookings. It was user friendly. Lastly, on the day of pick up I was asked to pick up an hour later which would’ve been impossible. It worked out to where it was ready in time, but it’s not great customer service to pose concerns to your customers on the day of their event/occasion. I think this baker has wonderful potential but some small kinks should be worked out.
