1. Outdoor Event & Temperature Liability Clause Buttercream, fondant, and cake structures are highly sensitive to heat and humidity. For outdoor events, the client must provide a completely shaded, covered, and level setup area (such as a tent or covered pavilion). Sarah-bration cakes assumes zero liability for cakes melting, collapsing, or sweating if they are left outdoors in temperatures exceeding 75°F (24°C), or if exposed to direct sunlight, high humidity, wind, or pests. Once setup is complete, the client accepts full responsibility for the cake's structural integrity. 2. Venue Delivery & Setup Access Clause The client must ensure that the venue is open, accessible, and has a sturdy, level cake table prepared at the agreed-upon delivery time. If Sarah-bration cakes arrives and is unable to access the setup area, or if the table is not ready, we will wait a maximum of 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, if setup cannot occur, the cake will be left with venue staff or returned to our kitchen, and a $50 re-delivery fee will apply if schedule permits. We are not responsible for delays caused by venue unreadiness. 3. "Once We Leave" Venue Liability Clause Upon delivering and setting up the cake at the specified venue, Sarah-bration cakes will take a high-resolution confirmation photo of the completed display. Once this photo is taken and our team leaves the premises, all liability transfers entirely to the client and the venue. We are not responsible for any damage caused by venue staff, guests, children, decorators, florists, or shifting tables after our departure. 4. Payment & Deposit Policy To secure your event date on our calendar, a deposit is required immediately upon invoice receipt. For orders under $100, payment must be made in full (100% deposit) at the time of booking. For orders over $100, a 50% deposit is required to retain our services, with the remaining balance due 14 days prior to your event date. All deposits and payments are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable, as ingredients, supplies, and calendar space are allocated specifically to your custom order upon booking. 5. Safety & Liability Disclaimer For the safety of your child, we strongly advise against adding sprinkles, hard candies, or small decorations to smash cakes. If you explicitly request the inclusion of these or any other potential choking hazards, you do so at your own risk. By finalizing this order, you agree that Sarah-bration cakes assumes no liability for any injury or accidents resulting from requested decorative elements.
