Sourdough bread is usually good up to 5 days on the counter, but it will store even longer in the fridge or freezer. Also, be aware that it gets more sour each day.
How Should I Store my Sourdough Bread?
I prefer bread bags or wrapping it in foil (or plastic wrap). Anything that keeps too much air from getting to your bread and making it stale will do.
Can I Freeze or Refrigerate Sourdough?
Yes, you can! Putting it in the fridge will make it last longer. For longer term storage, stick in the the freezer and pull it out about 12-15 hours before you want to use it again.
*I wouldn't recommend thawing and re-freezing the sourdough.

Is Sourdough Bread Gluten Free?
Sourdough Bread is not gluten free unless it is made with gluten free ingredients. That being said, because of the way the classic Artisan loaf is made, the gluten is pre-fermented. This takes a lot of stress off of our body's digestive system and a lof of people with gluten intolerance can enjoy a classic Artisan loaf with little to no side effects.
Will you be Baking Gluten Free Sourdough?
Yes! I am currently solidifying ingredient sources and recipes for my gluten free sourdough bread. I will announce more details on my social media accounts as I get closer to selling the gluten free products.
How Will I Know the Gluten Free Items are Actually Gluten Free?
I know and love several people who are gluten intolerant and even celiac, so I am committed to doing everything I can to keep the integrity of my gluten free items actually being gluten free.
I don't have enough counter space to have a specifically gluten free counter to work on, so I am really good at completely cleaning surfaces between the types of bread.
I also deep clean any materials used for regular sourdough before using them for gluten free items. I have dedicated gluten free banneton (proofing/rising) baskets, so there will be no cross contamination there.
I also do not bake wheat sourdough on the same day that I bake gluten free sourdough. This helps to prevent any accidental cross contamination.
Why are Your Prices What They are?
As this is a small business, I do all of the work myself. Everything from the baking to the cleaning, and so on. I do my best to keep my prices as reasonable as possible because I know that everything is too expensive right now. I also know the value of my time and the ingredients that I use and want to make sure I'm making enough to keep the business going. Hope this helps!
