At Root and Rise, I believe the best baked goods begins with patience, care, and simple, honest ingredients. I’m a small-batch micro bakery specializing in breads, sourdough English Muffins, granola, and cookies that are naturally leavened, handcrafted, and baked fresh in my kitchen.

Because I bake in small quantities, every loaf and pastry gets the attention it deserves—no shortcuts, just slow fermentation and time-tested techniques that bring out rich flavor and texture.

I source thoughtfully, using local grains and seasonal ingredients whenever possible, so every bite feels connected to our community.

Whether you’re stopping by for a morning bagel, picking up a crusty sourdough for dinner, or treating yourself to a cookie, my goal is simple: to bring comfort, flavor, and a little joy to your table.

Thank you so much for supporting my home-based micro bakery! I wanted to share a little peek behind the scenes of how things work around here 😊

During the spring, summer, and fall, you’ll find my bakery stand at the end of my driveway. It’s used for online order pickups and is also open to the public on days I announce in advance—usually weekends and one weekday. In the winter months, the stand shifts to pickup-only, with the occasional pop-up when the weather cooperates ❄️

Because everything is made in small batches and all costs are covered by me, a 30% deposit is required at the time of ordering, with the remaining balance due at pickup. Cash and Venmo are happily accepted at the stand, and there’s also a payment option available through this platform.

For timing, I truly appreciate at least one week’s notice for large orders, and 2–3 days’ notice for smaller orders, depending on the item.
