Hello and Hej!
My name is Kirsten! I own a Minnesota cottage food bakery specializing in European baked goods inspired primarily by the traditions of Sweden, Norway, and Scotland. My menu includes handcrafted cookies, pastries, rolls and other seasonal treats from cultures around the North Sea, where my ancestry is from as well.
Before starting my bakery, I worked as a pastry chef at the American Swedish Institute and the Guthrie Theater. It was especially at The American Swedish Institute where I developed a passion for creating baked goods that connect people to other cultures. I believe the world becomes more a connected, accepting and loving place if we can learn to appreciate each other’s cultural traditions, and what’s better way than with food?
