Effective Immediately
At Panic at the Bakery, everything is handcrafted, made-to-order, and baked with intention. Because we pour time, energy, and care into every creation, we have policies in place to protect both our customers and our business.
Please review before placing your order.
1. ORDERING POLICY
• All orders must be placed in advance.
• A minimum of 1 day notice is required for standard orders.
• Custom, large, or specialty orders may require additional notice.
• Orders are not confirmed until deposit/payment is received.
We reserve the right to decline any order based on availability, capacity, or request type.
2. PAYMENT POLICY
• A non-refundable deposit of 40% is required to secure your date.
• Remaining balance must be paid by (pickup date or agreed deadline).
• Orders not paid in full by the deadline may be canceled.
Deposits are non-refundable because your date, time, and supplies are reserved exclusively for you.
3. CANCELLATION POLICY
• Deposits are non-refundable.
• Cancellations made 3 days before pickup may qualify for partial cash refund.
• Cancellations within 71 hours of pickup will not be refunded or credited.
Once preparation or baking has begun, no refunds or credits will be issued.
4. REFUND POLICY
Due to the custom and perishable nature of our products:
• No refunds will be given after pickup or delivery.
• Any concerns must be reported within 2 hours of pickup.
• Clear photo proof is required for quality-related issues.
Refunds will not be issued for: • Design variations when inspiration photos were provided
• Color shade differences
• Change of mind
• Personal taste preferences
We are committed to fairness — but we are also committed to protecting our work.
5. PICKUP POLICY
• Orders must be picked up during the agreed timeframe. (Unless previous communication was had)
• Once an order leaves our possession, we are not responsible for damage.
• Cakes should be transported on a flat surface (floorboard recommended).
Late pickups is at fault of the customer if product is no longer fresh.
~ We aren't responsible for what happens after the cake leaves out care.
6. DESIGN & CUSTOM WORK POLICY
• Inspiration photos are welcome but will not be replicated exactly.
• Each order is uniquely handcrafted.
• Minor artistic variations may occur.
• We do not recreate trademarked or copyrighted designs.
Artistic discretion may be used to ensure structural integrity and overall quality.
7. ALLERGY-FRIENDLY OPTIONS
We proudly offer allergy-friendly options upon request.
• Allergy-friendly items must be requested at the time of ordering.
• While we take careful precautions, we operate in a shared kitchen environment.
• Customers with severe allergies should communicate clearly before ordering.
We will always do our best to accommodate dietary needs with honesty and transparency.
8. RESPECT & COMMUNICATION POLICY
Panic at the Bakery is a safe and respectful space.
We treat every customer with professionalism and kindness, and we expect the same in return.
Harassment, excessive negativity, bullying, or disrespectful communication will result in:
• Refusal of service
• Immediate cancellation without refund
We bake with love — not hostility.
9. SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY
We may photograph and share your order for promotional purposes unless requested otherwise in writing.
All content remains property of Panic at the Bakery.
10. RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE
We reserve the right to refuse service at any time if:
• Policies are violated
• Payment terms are ignored
• Communication becomes inappropriate
• Requests compromise safety or business values
