To reserve your date a 50% deposit fee must be paid. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable. A deposit invoice will be sent by email that must be paid by its due date. If your invoice is cancelled due to nonpayment your requested date may no longer be available. The remaining balance of your order must be paid one week before pick-up and Confirmation emails will be sent out upon receiving final payment . Custom Cakes : The client is expected to clearly explain in writing what they expect from Mariposa Cakes. If a client needs to change colors, flavors, or theme they should contact Mariposa Cakes immediately. *Changes cannot be made less than four weeks prior to their event date. Cancellations/Refunds/Delivery: Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. In the event the client wishes to cancel their order, the deposit for the order placed will not be refunded. Deposit fees cannot be applied to future dates. If the client wishes to reschedule they will be required to pay a new 50% deposit for the new date requested. Refunds will ONLY be given if Mariposa Cakes fails to produce the order in full. Please note that Taste is based on personal preference. Tasting boxes are available for an additional cost as per menu pricing . Refunds will not be given if the client does not like the taste of the product. Colors are not always exact. Mariposa Cakes will work hard to provide the client with similar colors to their theme, but refunds will not be given if the colors do not match exactly. Supplying us with Invitation designs ,inspiration photos and color themes are highly encouraged as this will help ensure the best outcome for the color matching process . Mariposa Cakes will deliver to the event venue at the time agreed upon by the client. If the client needs to change the delivery time or venue this must be explained to Mariposa Cakes one week prior to ensure the adjustment can be made. If the client does not wish to accept the product upon delivery or pickup, there will be no refund given, unless the cake is completely damaged by Mariposa Cakes . If a refund is required, Mariposa Cakes will process a refund within 14 business days after the event date. Extended periods in a vehicle without A/C may cause unwanted damage to your cake Do Drive cautiously​ * Please Text when you are on your way to ensure your order is boxed and ready to go when you arrive. Number and Address provided when order is placed. When you arrive, text the description of your vehicle and Mariposa Cakes will place your order in your vehicle and may provide verbal instructions about refrigeration, shelf-life, and serving. Please plan to arrive no later than the stated pickup window. Mariposa Cakes delivers orders promptly after pickups, and for this reason imposes a strict pickup window. **** You assume all responsibility for any damage to the cake once the order leaves Mariposa Cakes’ possession.
