Hi! I'm Bree—a coffee-fueled mom of two with an unapologetic sweet tooth and the baker behind Happiness Is Home-Baked.
I create rustic, made-from-scratch baked goods using carefully selected, premium ingredients because I believe homemade should taste like homemade.
Preorders are welcome! Pick up from my home in Romeoville, or choose Sunday pickup at the Market.

Pickup Information
⭐ Preferred Pickup Options: Starred pickup options are my preferred pickup days and offer the best availability and selection.
Home Pickup (Romeoville):
⭐ Saturday: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM (preferred)
• Thursday: 2:00 PM–6:00 PM
• Friday: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM
Farmers Market Pickup:
⭐ Sunday pickup is available at the Plainfield Farmers Market, located at the Plainfield Public Library, during market hours from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM.
For all home pickup orders, I will contact you after your order is placed to schedule a one-hour pickup window during your selected pickup day.
About My Ingredients
I’m very intentional about what goes into my baking. Most of the ingredients I use are organic, and I do my best to keep everything simple, recognizable, and as clean as possible.
I go out of my way to avoid artificial ingredients whenever I can. You won’t find artificial food coloring in my baking, and I choose natural flavors and extracts over imitation flavorings.
I use real butter, organic vanilla extract, vanilla bean paste, high-quality chocolate and cocoa, and always fresh fruit — never frozen. I choose organic fruit whenever it’s available.
A couple of my cakes use a neutral vegetable oil because it gives them the best moisture and texture without adding its own flavor or competing with the ingredients that are supposed to shine.
I’m always happy to answer questions about specific ingredients, including oils, dairy, eggs, tree nuts, or anything else you may be trying to avoid.
A note about allergens: The only recipe I currently make with a tree nut ingredient is my Vegan Chocolate Cake, which contains almond milk. I’ve tried other options, but I genuinely think almond milk gives that cake the best flavor.
Everything is made in my home kitchen, so I can’t promise an allergen-free environment. That said, I am extremely particular about cleanliness and sanitation and make every reasonable effort to keep my workspace, tools, and ingredients clean and prevent cross-contact.
