GG's Baby Cakes, LLC.

Jacqueline "Jacquie" Powell is the owner/operator of "GG's Baby Cakes..." and began this wonderful journey of creating beautiful cakes in July 2009. Born and raised near Chicago, IL, Jacquie has always had an interest in creating beauty with her hands. At an early age, she began baking cookies and cakes, always trying her hand at new recipes, but never had a thought, or even knew, that the world of cake decorating existed. As a young woman, she embarked on a career as a Master Cosmetologist in 1987 and still holds the license to date.

In 2005, she began jewelry-making as a hobby. While taking her first Wilton class in July 2009, the fire for creating edible beauty was ignited, and the obsession began. After making cakes for family members and friends, ideas of starting a business were on the table. In November 2009, the first order was placed, and GG's Baby Cakes...was born.

Jacquie is also a Wilton Method Trained Instructor and has shared her gift and knowledge of cake design with over 700 students, to date, who share the same drive and determination to create beautiful cakes. She has been an inspiration to some of her students, tapping into their inner creativity and encouraging them to fulfill their dream of entrepreneurship, as well as encouraging several to become Wilton Method Instructors.

Hair Stylist, Jewelry Designer, and now Cake Designer - Jacquie has enthusiasm for ALL things that require great attention to detail. Getting a cake from GG's Baby Cakes... ensures you are getting quality ingredients and a cake "designed with you in mind." Whether it's cake, cupcakes, cake pops, cookies, or treats, attention to detail is a must for each confectionery design.

Wedding cake orders require 60 day or more notice. We recommend 14 days for all other orders.

A rush order fee of 15% will be charged for custom orders placed 7 days or less of delivery/ pickup and 30% for wedding cake orders placed within 15 days of delivery. Order total is required at time of order for ALL rush orders.

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost of the order, confirms the order and holds a delivery / pick up reservation. Remaining balance is due 14 days before the event for wedding cake orders and 24 hours prior to pick-up/delivery for all other orders. Late or no deposit is subject to cancellation. Late payments may result in substitutions or modifications to the original design.

A processing fee of 3% will need to be added to the cost for ALL credit / debit card transactions. This fee will not be refunded in the event of cancellation. (Example: Order total is $250. If you pay a 50% deposit of $125, the total to be charged would be $128.75. That's $125 plus $3.75 processing). This fee needs to be added per transaction.

**GG’s Baby Cakes reserves the right to exercise artistic license in order to guarantee the structural, visual and creative integrity of a confection design.**

**An order is not considered final or reserved without a deposit**

CANCELLATION POLICY:

**Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE**

The remaining balance, if an order has been paid in full, may be refundable if cancellation is received within 30 or more days prior to the event. Cancellations received 15 - 29 days prior to the event, may receive, at the discretion of GG's Baby Cakes, receive a refund up to 50% of the balance. Cancellations received on or within 14 days of the event date will not be subject any refund. Late or no deposit is subject to cancellation of the order. Late deposit / payments per the timeline stated above, may also result in substitutions or modifications to the original design in order to facilitate said order.

Deposit will be held for rescheduling for 60 days IF the order is postponed by client 2 weeks prior to the original delivery date. In the event the order has not been rescheduled for a date within 60 days of the original date, ALL deposit fees will be forfeited. (Example: Original delivery date is August 17, 2019. The order must be rescheduled for delivery on or before October 17, 2019). GG's Baby Cakes will not honor a change in design due to cancellation

0 - 10 miles ........... FREE

11 - 20 miles ......... $25 - $40

21 - 50 miles ......... $45 - $50

51 miles + ............. $1 per mile

**Tiered, over-sized, Wedding cakes and other complex cake designs are subject to additional delivery charges.**
