Care After Pickup or Setup

After your cake or treats are picked up or set up, they become your responsibility. To keep everything looking and tasting its best, please place desserts on a sturdy surface and keep them in an air-conditioned space between 68–72°F. Warmer temperatures may affect stability and appearance.

Safely Transporting & Caring for Your Cake

Your cake will be fully chilled and secured before pickup to help ensure it travels safely once it’s in your care. After pickup, responsibility for the cake transfers to the client, so please follow the tips below for best results:

Transportation Tips

1. Keep it level.

Place your cake or treats on a flat, stable surface in your vehicle. If the floorboard isn’t an option, use a folded towel or small blanket on a seat to create a level surface.

• For two-tier cakes, it’s best to have someone ride along to carefully hold the cake during transport.

2. Refrigerate if not serving soon.

If your event is more than 2 hours after pickup, place the cake back in the refrigerator. This helps prevent bubbles, bulging, or other cosmetic changes caused by warmer temperatures.

3. Transport directly from the refrigerator.

When heading to your event, remove the cake straight from the refrigerator and transport it promptly to maintain stability.

Storage After Cutting

Once cut, cake can be kept at room temperature for up to 3 days when tightly wrapped or covered. Cakes may also be frozen for up to 1 year for longer storage.
