Warning: This Sourdough May Cause Unplanned Carb ConsumptionNicole Davidson
I placed an order online last week by a and ended up with a small, delicious carb mountain: a loaf of plain sourdough, a sourdough jalapeño cheddar loaf, sourdough brown sugar oatmeal cream pies, and cinnamon rolls. I regret nothing.
First, the sourdough bread. Perfect crust, soft chewy inside, that classic tang — the kind of loaf that makes you “accidentally” eat half of it standing over the counter with butter. Pure bread magic.
The jalapeño cheddar sourdough is dangerous. Just the right kick of jalapeño and pockets of melty cheddar baked into that same perfect sourdough texture. I’m pretty sure I blacked out and the loaf somehow disappeared.
Now let’s talk about the sourdough brown sugar oatmeal cream pies. I’m just going to say it: they are FAR better than Shyndigz's. Yes, I said it and I stand by it. Softer, richer, perfectly balanced sweetness — the kind of dessert where you finish one and immediately start negotiating with yourself about eating another.
And the cinnamon rolls? Heavenly. Soft, gooey, cinnamon-swirled perfection that makes your house smell like happiness.
The best part is the setup — you can also purchase these items (and more!) through her self-service cabinet, which somehow makes the experience feel like a magical baked-goods treasure chest.
Do yourself a favor and support this awesome local baker. Small businesses like this make our community better — and also make my willpower significantly worse.
10/10 would destroy another loaf of bread.
