Pre-order pickup instructions:
1. Place your order here on my website
2. Upon receiving your invoice (once your order is reviewed and accepted by me), you will get the address information for where to pick up.
3. Come by within the pickup timeframe listed and grab your order from the shelf (usually by the garage)!
4. Enjoy fresh, homemade sourdough!
How long is homemade sourdough considered fresh?
Homemade sourdough is freshest for up to 3 days at room temperature.
Can’t get through a whole loaf before then?
Here are some options:
+ Stick your loaf in the fridge and nibble on it throughout the week (or 2 if it looks ok!)
+ Freeze it and, when you’re ready to eat it, take it out to thaw for 12-24 hours.
+ Slice it up and freeze the individual slices. From there you can toast it from frozen!
If it goes stale or you want that crispy crust, you can run the loaf under water and bake at 350 degrees for about 10-12 minutes! It should crisp back up and feel like fresh, out of the oven bread again!
Be careful doing this with flavored loaves as inclusions may leak out. Might be best on a baking sheet.
Remember to always keep your loaf wrapped in cling wrap, the paper bag it comes in, a plastic bag, or a bread bag. In our Iowa climate, just leaving it on the counter unwrapped or in a non-airtight container, just won’t keep it fresh.
