Hi, I’m Dessi!👩🍳 My passion for baking began in childhood, inspired by my mother’s delicious cakes that made every holiday special. Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in New York, I blend the rich flavors of both worlds in my desserts.
I graduated in culinary arts and management in 2007 and had the privilege of working at a gluten-free and dairy-free bakery, where I honed my skills in creating allergen-friendly treats. Now, as a home baker and co-founder of Dessibakes (est. 2006), I love bringing joy to others through my holiday baking, crafting each dessert with love and care. Someday, I hope to open my own bakery, but for now, every cookie, cake, and brownie is a piece of my heart. 💖
