About
I am Dhana Hansen, owner and baker for Dee's Dough Jo. I'm a full time teacher, but enjoy baking cookies on the side. I specialize in custom cookie designs where I can express my artistic talents to make each set unique. I have a Cottage Food license in Ogle County and my products are baked in a home kitchen and not inspected by the local health department. My products may contain common allergens and they are labeled with the ingredients.
Capabilities & Pricing
Starting at $40 a dozen for custom decorated cookies
$25 a dozen for basic iced with sprinkles
$ 75 dozen for specialty story cookies. (Many designs and colors, special techniques.
4 weeks notice for orders more than 5 dozen
Small orders 2 dozen or less require 2 weeks notice
I cannot make licensed characters or copyrighted images, but I can create something inspired by your favorite characters such as colors, patterns, or part of their clothing.
50% deposit due to reserve the date
Policies
Dee's Dough Jo Policies
1. 50 % non refundable deposit is due at the time of confirmation of a reserved date. Once you request an order, Dee's Dough Jo will contact you within 24 hours to confirm the availability of the date. The 50% deposit reserves the date and is applied to materials, ingredients, and design planning time. Dee's Dough Jo cannot guarantee availability, but will work with you for other options. If Dee's Dough Jo is unable to confirm your request, no deposit will be requested. 2. Orders of 2 dozen or less require 1 week minimum to complete. Orders of 3 to 4 dozen require 2 weeks. Large orders of 5 dozen or more requires 4 weeks notice. 3. You are encouraged to share photos or ideas for inspiration only. I do not copy or replicate another artists' work. I will work with ideas to create cookies that are unique but close to your inspiration photos. This policy also includes the use of any copyrighted material such as Disney characters. I can create a beautiful set of cookies around the colors and aesthetic of your favorite characters. 4. Pickup policy. Dee's Dough Jo will work with client to arrange a pick up time. I do not leave cookies on my porch. Pick up is in person so that I know the cookies are up to your expectations. The remaining balance is due prior to pickup. If the client is unable to pickup up cookies at the negotiated time, one other attempt will be arranged. After 2nd attempt, the cookies become property of Dee's Dough Jo and may be discarded or sold at discounted price. 5. Expect contact throughout your cookie order. I work personally to share ideas, progress, and ask questions to make to you get cookies that you will love. 6. Dee's Dough Jo does not ship cookies.
